Glasgow Prestwick Airport hand luggage liquids rules
Glasgow Prestwick still applies the 100 ml rule: liquids go in containers of 100 ml or less inside one clear resealable bag, and laptops and large electrical items come out of your bag.
- Largest container
- 100 ml per item
- Clear bag needed
- clear resealable bag max 1 litre
- Liquids stay in bag
- No, take them out
- Laptops stay in bag
- No, take them out
- Every lane
- Not stated
The airport's security page says liquid restrictions will remain in place and gives no date for any change; it does not mention CT scanners. The bag is stated as no larger than 20 x 20 cm. A November 2024 airport notice about replacing its screening equipment also describes liquids and laptops being taken out of bags. Items bought after security can be carried on board; baby products and essential medicines are exempt from the limit with conditions.
Medicines, baby food and duty-free in sealed bags are exempt from the 100 ml limit. Rules vary by airport, so check your return and connecting airports too.
