If your bag is too big at the gate

Oversized bags, or a large cabin bag you haven't booked, won't go in the cabin. They go in the hold and you pay a charge.

£60 at the boarding gate

It’s almost always cheaper to add the right bag when you book or online before you fly.

Other easyJet cabin rules worth knowing

easyJet Plus members get a large cabin bag free. Add it to your booking (free) to guarantee space; otherwise it may go in the hold free if full.
Also allowed: an umbrella, overcoat, crutches, walking stick and one standard bag of shopping bought at the airport.
With an infant on your lap, you can bring an extra baby changing bag (max 45 × 36 × 20 cm) under the seat.
In a restricted seat, all bags, including your under-seat bag, must go in the overhead locker for take-off and landing.
easyJet may set a lower weight limit for operational reasons; your bag then goes in the hold free.
If you're automatically given an Up Front or Extra Legroom seat, your allowance is still one under-seat bag.

Power banks on easyJet

easyJet allows up to 2 power banks of up to 160 Wh each, in hand luggage only, with no approval needed. You can't use or recharge them on board.

Liquids depend on the airport

The airline doesn’t set the liquids limit. The departure airport’s security does. Some now allow up to 2 litres.
