Gran Canaria Airport hand luggage liquids rules

100 ml per item

At Gran Canaria Airport each liquid container can hold no more than 100 ml, all in one clear 1-litre bag, and you take that bag and your laptop out at security.

Aena, which runs the airport, says the liquids bag goes in the tray, separate from your luggage. Laptops, tablets and phones go out of their cases into a separate tray. Liquid medicines and special diets needed on the trip are exempt, so carry a prescription or proof. Duty free must stay sealed in its security bag with the receipt. A September 2026 press report says new security technology for the terminal is planned for 2027 to 2031, so it is not in place yet. Even where Aena has the new scanners (Madrid, Barcelona, Palma), the 100 ml limit still applies.

Medicines, baby food and duty-free in sealed bags are exempt from the 100 ml limit. Rules vary by airport, so check your return and connecting airports too.
