The airport says its Next Generation Security is fully operational. It asks for containers of 100 ml or less and does not mention a clear plastic bag. An older Liquids page on the airport's site (last edited February 2023) still describes a 1-litre bag and taking liquids out of your bag: that is out of date. Baby food, baby milk and sterilised water for the journey can be over 100 ml, and breast milk containers can hold up to 2,000 ml. These may be opened for screening. Business News Wales reported the new scanners as fully operational on 27 December 2024.

Medicines, baby food and duty-free in sealed bags are exempt from the 100 ml limit. Rules vary by airport, so check your return and connecting airports too.
